State Bank of India's Response: In response to Dibyaranjan's tweet, the official SBI Twitter account (@TheOfficialSBI) clarified that opting for insurance and other investments is voluntary. They emphasized that no transaction is conducted without the customer's consent and urged Dibyaranjan to register a complaint regarding the unauthorized debits.
Steps to Resolve Unauthorized Debits:
Access the Complaint Registration Portal: SBI provides a dedicated portal for registering complaints regarding disputed transactions. Visit https://crcf.sbi.co.in/ccf to access the Complaint Registration Portal.
Select Complaint Category: Choose "Raise Complaint - Others" and select "Personal Segment/Individual Customer" under the category "General Banking >> Operation of Accounts >> Disputed Debit/Credit Transactions."
Provide Details: In the complaint form, accurately describe the unauthorized debit transactions, including the dates, amounts, and any relevant details about the alleged insurance form applications.
Submit Complaint: Upon completing the complaint form, submit it through the portal. You will receive a complaint number on your registered mobile number/email ID for reference.
Follow-Up: Keep track of your complaint status using the provided complaint number. SBI's concerned team will investigate the matter and provide updates on the resolution progress.
