Vivek Tankha is a famous Indian politician of the Indian National Congress, Senior Advocate, Philanthropist, Social Activist, Social Worker and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the upper house of the Indian Parliament from the state of Madhya Pradesh. He was born on 21 September 1956 (age 65 years according to 2021) in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Late Justice Raj Krishna Tankha and his mother’s name is Shrimati Rohini Tankha. His educational qualification is B.A., LL.B. from the University of Delhi. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He is married to Shrimati Aarti Tankha on 6 February 1985 and has two children one son and one daughter.
Vivek Krishna Tankha started his career as an Advocate as he was one of the youngest Advocate Generals of Madhya Pradesh 1999-2003. After that, he was designated Senior Advocate by the Full Court of the High Court in 1999. He is also Chairman at Legal Department of AICC. KC Mittal is Secretary Legal Department of AICC. He has been Additional Solicitor General of India (Direct Taxes) for 2009-2012. In 2016, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Madhya Pradesh. Currently, he is serving as a member of Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice, member of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal, member of Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Road Transport, Highways and member of Committee on Subordinate Legislation and Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India.
