He was born on 13 Jun 1947 (age 74 years according to 2021) in Kandivali, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His father’s name is Shri Narayan Krishna Shejwalkar and his mother’s name is Smt. Vimal Shejwalkar. His educational qualification is BE (Mechanical), Engineering Graduate from Jivaji University and Madhav Engineering College, Gwalior (M.P.). His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Nilima Shejwalkar on 09 Jun 1974 and has two children one son and one daughter. He loves listening to music, watching programs on T.V. related to science, nature, environment, and technological development, reading, playing with children, swimming, and car driving.
Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar started his career as a Member of the Gwalior Development Authority in 2004. After that, he was appointed to the Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Gwalior for two terms (2005-2010 and 2015-2019). In May 2019, he was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) Constituency with which he was made a member of the Standing Committee on Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Jal Shakti. He is also part of social and cultural activities as he contributed for many years in a Co-operative sector as a Secretary in Nagrik Sahakari Bank, Special contribution as a Founder member in Bharat Vikas Parishad, Gwalior and has a keen interest in Urban Development, activities in Solid Waste Management, Sewage Management, and Water treatment infrastructures; successfully implemented many schemes as Mayor.
