He was born on 13 November 1991 (age 29 according to 2021) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father was a lecturer and mother was a principal and his elder brother’s name is Vibhor (Bhriguvanshi would follow him as his mentor). He did his schooling at Udai Pratap College in Varanasi. Bhriguvanshi started his career as he represented his district and state in 2000. He has been part of North Western Railway Jaipur for the seasons 2008- 2011. Bhriguvanshi began playing basketball in 2009 at the Asian Club Championships and in the same year, he made his debut for the India national basketball team at the FIBA Asia Championship 2009. After that, he joined the ONGC Uttarakhand Dehradoon basketball team from 2012 to 2016. He has also been part of the gold medal-winning Indian basketball team at the Lusofonia Games in 2014. In July 2017, Bhriguvanshi signed a one-year training deal with the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian National Basketball League and become the league's first Indian player. Vishesh was part of India to win a 3x3 basketball gold medal at the Asian Beach Games in 2008. He has won three national champions domestically with Indian Railways. In 2011 he became the Brand ambassador of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. He was honored with the Arjuna Award by Govt. of India for the year 2020.
