Virendra Singh is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and has won the 2019 Indian general elections from the Ballia. He was born on October 21, 1956 (age 65 years), in Ballia, India. He is a Member of the Lok Sabha since 2019. He did his study at Banaras Hindu University. His father’s name is Late Shri Ramnath Singh and his mother’s name is Late Smt. Draupadi Singh. He married Smt. Renu Singh.
He was the District President, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in 1988. He was the District President, Bharatiya Janata Party (B.J.P.) in 1989. He contested and lost in the 11th Lok Sabha elections in the Mirzapur constituency. He was defeated by Phoolan Devi of SP who won by a margin of 37,046 votes in 1996. He was appointed as the State President, Kisan Morcha (BJP) in 1996. He won the 12th Lok Sabha elections where he successfully defeated Phoolan Devi with a margin of 52,777 votes in 1998. He once again lost his bid to the Mirzapur seat to Phoolan Devi who won by the margin of 84,476 votes in 1999. He became a member of the Committee on Papers Laid on the Table, Standing Committee on Agriculture, and a Member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers in 2014. He was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha elections as the MP of the Bhadohi constituency by defeating Rakesh Dhar Tripathi by a margin of 1,58,039 votes in 2014. He will be contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Ballia in 2019.
