His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Nithya Vijay Vasanth in the year 2010 and has two children one son and one daughter.
Vijayakumar Vasanthakumar first started his career as a Businessperson in his father company Vasanth & Co and now serving as the company's managing director. He has also been worked as a film actor and made his Tamil language film debut with Chennai 600028 (2007) and has been working in more than 20 Tamil movies. In 2021, he took his feet into the political world as a candidate for the Indian National Congress. He was appointed as General Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee in 2021.
