Brennen College, Thalassery, Kannur University, Centre for Informal Sector and Labour Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi (ICSSR Post Doctoral Fellow), New Delhi. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He is married to Shrimati Shahna Valsan on 26 May 2003 and has two children one son and one daughter.
Dr. V. Sivadasan was always a brilliant student as he is a First rank holder and Gold medalist in Bachelor of Arts in History from Kannur University, has written an article ‘Neoliberal Hegemony in Education: Higher Education Policies in India’ (IJSSR Vol.18) and frequently writes on the national and international polity in different journals as well as other publications. He has also been published books like (i) Peasants, Media, Literature Agrarian Problems in Kerala: Role of the Media and Literature (1934-1971), (ii) Nilavilikalilodungathathe, 2003 (Malayalam), and (iii) Indian Vidhyabhyasam (Malayalam), etc. He has been Director (Independent), Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) for 2016-21. He actively joined politics as a candidate of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and was first elected to Rajya Sabha from the state of Kerala and serving as a member of the Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas since 2021.
