His educational qualification is M.Com, M.B.A., and Master of Mass Communication and Journalism from Saraswati Bhuvan College, Aurangabad, MGM's Institute of Management, Aurangabad, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Maharashtra. His religion belongs to Islam and Nationality, India. He married Smt. Roomi Fatema on 08 Jul 1993 and has two sons named Bilal and Hamza. Syed Imtiyaz Jaleel started his career as a Journalist. He worked in that position for almost 23 years - 11 years with Lokmat and near 12 years with NDTV. He was part of Delegation to the UK wherein 10 Young Policymakers were invited by the British Consulate to London. In 2014, Jaleel took his feet into the political world as a candidate of Shiv Sena. He was first elected to the Member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly represented Aurangabad Central constituency for 2014-19. Later he joined All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from Aurangabad (Maharashtra) Constituency in 2019 with which he was made a member of Standing Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs, and member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Civil Aviation. He is also the State President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, Maharashtra. He has also been honored with "Best MLA" Aurangabad ever had.
