Suresh Kumar Kashyap is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Agriculturist, social worker, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) Constituency. He was born on 23 March 1971 (age 50 years according to 2021) in Paplahan, Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Shri Chambel Singh Kashyap and his mother’s name is Smt. Shanti Devi. His educational qualification is M.A. from MDS University, Ajmer, Rajasthan, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, and M.Phil.(Public Administration) from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, H.P. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Rajni Kashyap on 10 May 1997 and has one son. He loves Reading and Travelling.
Suresh Kumar Kashyap started his career even at an early age as he joined Indian Air Force as an airman (non-commissioned officer) in 1988 when he was just 17 years old. He worked in the air force for 16 years. After that, he took his feet in politics. He was first made a member of BDC (Pachhad) and then joined BJP. He has also been appointed as a District President of BJP SC Morcha and State General Secretary of BJP SC Morcha. In 2012, he was elected as a Member of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Pachhad constituency for two terms and member of the Welfare Committee of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly for 2013-2017. He has been appointed as a Chairperson of the General Development Committee of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. In 2019, He was elected to 17th Lok Sabha from Shimla constituency with which he became a member of the Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice, Committee on Absence of Members from the Sittings of the House, Standing Committee on External Affairs, and Consultative Committee, Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Currently, he is serving as a President of the Himachal Pradesh State Unit of Bharatiya Janata Party.
