Surender Kumar is a famous Indian field hockey player born on 23 November 1993(age 28 according to 2021) at Brana village, Karnal district in Haryana, India. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality Indian. His parent's name is Mr. Malkhan Singh and Mrs. Nilam Devi and he belongs to a modest family. Though he belongs to the Karnal district, he shifted to Kurukshetra for his schooling.

Surender Kumar first began playing hockey in his school time at Royal Aryan Public School in Kurukshetra. He first played for India in 2012, with the national junior team. He later went to play junior Asia Cup, Sultan Johar Cup, and Junior World Cup. He was also selected in Delhi Waveriders in 2015 to play in the Hockey India League (HIL). He is a great defender and his sporting role model is Birendra Lakra. He got his first Gold medal with his team in Asian Champions Trophy 2016 in Kuantan and first Silver medal in Champions Trophy in London and many more. He was also part of the national team that participated in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Recently he represented India in Field hockey at the 2018 Asian Games – Men's tournament and won Gold.
