I have practiced a method that they nick name it as Ornithology,by old American Composers.

song.
The method is like this.
To determine the chords and melody of a Music track,and compose a new melody to the old or pre-existing track.
By this method the melody of a song is now replaced by a newly composed melody.By this method we can retain the background music and interludes and rhythms also.If we can recreate and reproduce the above features by Keyboard or live instruments,
we get a new version for the pre-existing track.
The limitation what we have now in this method is the chords structure that exist in the song.It creates a narrow [Maze] route for our new melody and therefore we can get one or two extra melodies only by this method.We cannot choose melody by our will but should have to go according to the chords and notes structure of the song content.
This method can be used in a number of ways.If we have Multi track Audio Files of any unreleased or released album,then we can produce a new melody and add new lyrics.We can change the mood and even subject of the song by this method.
