Sonal Sehgal is an Indian actress who is well known for the film Aashayein directed by the Nagesh Kukunoor. She worked alongside John Abraham in the film. She also worked in Hindi and Punjabi album. Between 2001- 2003, she worked in several songs including Chadi Jawani by Jassi B., Botla Sharab Diya by Bally Sagoo, Ghungat by Pankaj Udhas and many more. After that Sonal appeared in several films as a lead role like Radio (2009), Damadamm and Future Hai Toh Bright Hai Ji.
The film Future Hai Toh Bright Hai Ji was her recently released in which she worked opposite of Amir Bashir. The film was about the small town couple who came to Mumbai to try their luck in Bollywood. The film was failed at the box office. Sonal again started her career in theatre. She played a pivotal role in the play Mad about Money. The play was directed by Mahesh Dattani by which Sonal got much critical acclaim and positive reviews from the audience.
She is one of the few actresses who come to the Television industry. She played a lead role in serials Saara Aakash and Hotel Kingston. She played completely TV diverse in the serials. Before started her career, Sonal worked as an assistant of a director Pradeep Sarkar. In 2016, she appeared in the film Mantostaan directed by Saadat Hasan Manto.
