Asha Bhosle is popularly known as “Asha Tai” is a legendary playback singer in India. She has her style of singing which to date no one can copy. She is an idol and inspiration to many upcoming singers. She was born on 8th September 1933 in Goar, Sangli, Maharashtra, India. She is the daughter of Deenanath Mangeshkar and Shevanti Mangeshkar. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, Hridhyanath Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar, and Meena Mangeshkar are her siblings.
Asha Ji was married to Ganpatrao Bhosle at the age of 16 years in 1949 against her family’s wish but after her marriage, she was mistreated by her in-laws and husband, she decided to leave him and they got separated in 1960. In 1980 she got married the second time to Rahul Dev Burman(R.D. Burman), unfortunately, he died in 1994. She has 3 children and 5 grandchildren and is living happily in her flat in South Mumbai.
Asha Ji started her singing career with the Marathi song Chala Chala Nav Bala in 1943 to support her family. Her first solo Hindi song was for the movie Raat Ki Raani released in the year 1949. Her voice and songs still touch the heart of the listeners whether they are from the young generation or old generation, her voice still rules the heart,
Not only in Hindi but she as sung in various languages also and has always been loved for her talent.
