She was born on 29 August 1991 (age 30 years according to 2021) in Gidhaur in Jamui district of Bihar, India, and belongs to a Rajput/Thakur family. Her father’s name is Digvijay Singh (who was president of the National Rifle Association of India and a former union minister) and her mother’s name is Putul Kumari (Ex-MP from Banka, Bihar). She grew up with an elder sister named Mansi Singh. She completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram. Her educational qualification is a graduate in Arts from Hansraj College, Delhi, and MBA from Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad. Her height is 164cm, 1.64m, 5 feet, and 4 inches and her weight is 55kg, in pounds 122 lbs. Her hair color is dark brown and her eye color is also dark brown. Shreyasi Singh made her debut in the shooting field in the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in Delhi in which she finished 6th in the single trap event and 5th in the pair trap event. She came into the limelight when she was selected to represent India at the 2013 Trap Shooting World Cup held in Acapulco, Mexico where she finished at 15th position. She was also part of the Indian team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, Scotland, and won the silver medal in the singles double trap event having scored 92 points in the final. In the following year, she was part of the 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea, and won a bronze medal in the Double trap team event.
She won a silver medal in the double trap event of the Commonwealth Shooting Federation Championship of 2017. The same year, she represented Bihar at the 61st National Shooting Championship and won a gold medal. At the Commonwealth Games of 2018, Shreyasi dished out a clinical performance in the women's double trap event and clinch a gold medal for the nation. Shreyasi Singh is an Arjuna Awardee for her glorious show in shooting sports. After gaining so much fame in the trapshooting field, she decided to join the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2020. She contested her maiden election from the Jamui assembly constituency on a BJP ticket and registered victory. She defeated a veteran RJD leader Mr. Vijay Prakash in her first election only.
