Seema Dwivedi is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Agriculturist/Farmer, Social Worker, and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the upper house of the Indian Parliament from the state of Uttar Pradesh. She was born on 11 March 1972 (age 49 years according to 2021) in Village Bhoila, District Jaunpur (U.P.), India. Her father’s name is Late Shri Mata Sevak Upadhyay and her mother’s name is Shrimati Samarthi Devi. Her educational qualification is M.A. Educated at T.D. College, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Her religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. She is married to Dr. Arun Kumar Dwivedi on 30 May 1991 and has one son.
Seema Dwivedi started her political career as a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party. She was first elected to the Member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Mungra Badshahpur constituency in the Jaunpur district from 1996-2002, 2007-2012, and from 2012-2017. In 2020, she was elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Uttar Pradesh with which she was made a member of the Committee on Science and Technology, Environment, Forests and Climate Change, member of Committee on Government Assurances.
