Rupinder Pal Singh is an Indian field hockey player who is known for his abilities as one of the best drag flickers in the world. He was born to a Sikh family on 11 November 1990 in Faridkot, Punjab, India. His height is 6 feet 4 inches. His Qualification is graduate. His marital status is unmarried. His father Harinder Singh was also a hockey player from Punjab. He was also running a business but due to sudden loss in business and some financial, he quit the sport. A father concreted a dream to watch his son play hockey in an Indian jersey. His son at the age of 10 years lifted the stick and started towards his ambition. His elder brother Amarbir Singh played hockey but due to financial circumstances, he chose to do a job to fulfilling the financial needs of the family. The dream of the father became the vision of the younger son Rupinder Pal Singh and he turned into reality. He took up hockey at the age of eleven. He is related to international hockey player, Gangan Ajit Singh. His interest in hockey got a boost when got selected for the Chandigarh Hockey Academy.
Rupinder Pal Singh was bought by the Delhi franchise for a hefty sum. The Delhi team was named Delhi Waveriders. During an interview, Rupinder was quoted saying "I was surprised when the Delhi side picked me up for such a huge amount, but the tournament gave me a good platform to hone my skills, spending time with players like Sardar Singh and Nicolas Jacobi made me improve my game a lot and it showed in my performance.

Rupinder Pal Singh along with his team earned bronze medals at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup of 2012 and 2017. Bagged a silver medal at the Hockey Asia Cupof 2013. Earned bronze medals at the Hockey World League of 2015 and 2017 and was bestowed with the "Fan's Choice Award" in 2017. Bagged a gold medal at the Asian Games and a silver medal at the Commonwealth Gamesof 2014. Bagged two gold medals at the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy of 2011 and 2016 and a silver medal in 2012. He was also entitled as the Top Goal Scorer of the Tournament as well as Best Player of the Tournament with 11 individual goals in 2016 Appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian men's hockey team for the 2014 Men's Hockey World Cup. Part of the team that won the bronze medal at the2018 Asian Gamesheld in Jakarta.
