Raqesh Vashisth is also known as Rakesh Bapat was born on 1 September 1978 into a Hindu family in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. By profession, he is an actor and model. His father is an Army Personal and his mother is a School Principal. He did his graduation in Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai. In 1999, he was the runner-up in Grasim Mr. India contest. He was seen in many TV advertisements like Colgate, Wrigley's gum, etc.
He makes his debut from a Bollywood film Tum Bin (2001), which was directed by Anubhav Sinha and Co-starring with Priyanshu Chatterjee, etc. The film was hit at the box office and received good reviews from the critics. In 2002, he was seen in a Bollywood film Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, which was directed by Anant Mahadevan and Co-starring with R. Madhavan, etc. In 2005, he makes his debut in a TV serial Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar (2005), which was aired on Zee TV. He was seen in many TV serials and films like Ek Packet Umeed (2008), seven (2010), Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak? (2010), Nach Baliye 6 (2013), Tu Aashiqui (2018), Naam Gum Jaayega (2005), Heroine (2012), Gippi (2013), A New Love Ishtory (2013), Sarv Mangal Savdhan (2016), Mumbai Apli Ahe (2019).
