Rakesh Roshan born in Bombay, Bombay State, India on 6^th September 1949 is an Indian Filmmaker, Producer, Screenwriter and an Actor. Rakesh was born in a Punjabi family, his father Roshan was a Bollywood music director and mother Aparna a homemaker. Rakesh got married to Pinky and the couple has two children - son Hrithik Roshan and daughter Sunaina Roshan. He completed his education at Sainik School, Satara, Maharashtra. As an Actor, Roshan has been seen in over 84 Hindi films, after this he made his debut as a director, and his most successful works are Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang, Kishen Kanhaiya, Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa…. Pyaar Hai, Koi…. Mil Gaya and Krrish franchises. He made his debut with movie Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani in 1970, after this he was seen in his next venture named as Seema, which did an average business at box office. After this, as an actor, he continued his work and was considered as a versatile actor. In 1980, with acting, he made his directorial debut too with movie Aap Ke Deewane. His movies like Krazzy 4, Kites and Kaabil failed to grab the attention of viewers, they were a big flop at box office. Rakesh has been facilitated with many awards like on 3^rd December 2006, he was honoured with International Film Festival of India (IFFI), for his contribution to cinema, also he received Global Indian Film Awards for his contribution in cinema for past 35 years.
