He was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from Darjeeling, West Bengal, and became a member of the Standing Committee on Labour, Committee of Privileges, Standing Committee on Commerce and Consultative Committee, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Corporate Affairs. He has been part of some Social and Cultural Activities as he organized Personality Development Camps (PDCs) for boys and girls in rural areas for their mental, intellectual, physical, and spiritual development, and Adarsh Gram Yojana, a nationwide initiative that provides education and scholarship opportunities for poor children in rural areas. He has a great interest in promoting education in rural regions, through School Bharati Organisation (SBO), providing scholarships, books, and resources to students; Environment Protection and Conservation Activities; Imparting Skill Development and Entrepreneurship opportunities to rural youth especially in the field of Yoga, Naturopathy and health care practices. Currently, he serves as a National Spokesperson of the BJP, worked as a managing director of Surya Roshni Limited, and made National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
