Rajni Patil is a famous Indian politician of the Indian National Congress, Agriculturist/Farmer, Social Worker and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the upper house of the Indian Parliament from the state of Maharashtra. She was born on 5 December 1958 (age 63 years according to 2021) in Pune (Maharashtra). Her father’s name is Late Shri Atmaram Bapu Patil and her mother’s name is Late Shrimati Shantabai Patil. Her educational qualification is B.A. (German Language) from the University of Pune, Pune Maharashtra. Her religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. She is married to Shri Ashok Patil on 30 January 1982 and has three children two sons and one daughter.
Rajni Patil started her political career in her early days as she was a student political leader in college in the National Students Union of India (NSUI). She was first elected to the Zilla Parishad unopposed in 1992. In 1996, she was elected to the 11th Lok Sabha from Beed constituency for 1996-98 and in 2005, she was elected as the Chairperson of the Central Social Welfare Board and in 2013, she was elected to the Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from the state of Maharashtra and re-elected to the Rajya Sabha (second term) in 2021. She has been represented India at the 49th session of the UN Commission on the status of women at the UN headquarters in New York. Currently, she is serving as a member of the Committee on Science and Technology, Environment, Forests, and Climate Change and the All India Congress Committee in charge of Jammu & Kashmir.
