Rajmani Patel is a famous Indian politician of the Indian National Congress, Farmer, Journalist, Writer, Social Activist, Social Worker, and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the upper house of the Indian Parliament from the state of Madhya Pradesh. He was born on 20 July 1945 (age 76 years according to 2021) in Baraoun Village, Semariya, Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Late Shri Jamuna Prasad Patel and his mother’s name is Late Shrimati Sukhmanti Devi. His educational qualification is M.A., LL.B. from T.R.S. College, Rewa. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He is married to Shrimati Manorama Patel in 1965 and has two sons.
Rajmani Patel started his career as a Treasurer of Advocates' Association for 1970-71 and was elected as a President and Mahamantri. After that, he was elected to the Member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly four times (1972 – 2003). In between he was appointed to the Chairman of Department of Bridge Construction, Government of Madhya Pradesh for 1982 – 85, Minister (Independent charge) for Revenue, Law, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Madhya Pradesh for 1985 – 90, Cabinet Minister of Department of Labour and Employment, Government of Madhya Pradesh and Cabinet Minister of Planning Commission and Department of Statistics, Government of Madhya Pradesh for 1998 – 2003. In 2018, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Currently, he is serving as a President of the Department of Backward Classes, Madhya Pradesh, member of the Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
