Rajesh Verma is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was born on November 6, 1960 (age 61 years), Sitapur, India. He is a Member of the Lok Sabha since 2014. He did his study at the University of Lucknow, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. His father’s name is Shri Krishna Pal Singh and his mother’s name is Smt. Sudha Devi. He married Smt. Ranjana Verma.
Rajesh Verma served the Bahujan Samaj Party for Almost 22 years. However, he decided to sever ties with the party and joined the Bhartiya Janata Party in Dec 2013. Verma was elected to 13th Lok Sabha from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh as a BSP candidate, where he defeated Janardan Prasad Misra of BJP in 1999. Verma was re-elected to the 14th Lok Sabha from Sitapur for a second term as a BSP candidate. He lost the following elections from Dhaurahra constituency to Jitin Prasada of INC in 2004. He contested and won from the Sitapur seat with a BJP ticket and was Re-elected to 16th Lok Sabha for a third term in 2014.
