Rajendra Gehlot is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Farmer, Social Worker, and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the upper house of the Indian Parliament from the state of Rajasthan. He was born 18 June 1979 (age 42 years according to 2021) in Jodhpur City (Rajasthan), India. His father’s name is Shri Balkishan Gehlot and his mother’s name is Shrimati Devi Gehlot. His educational qualification is Senior Higher Secondary from Ajmer, Rajasthan. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He is married to Shrimati Vimla Gehlot on 18 June 1979 and has two children one son and one daughter.
Rajendra Gehlot started his political career at an early age as he was first a Swayamsevak of R.S.S. and later worked for three years as a division in charge of Sampoorna Kranti. After that, he was made Member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Sardarpura for 1990 - 1992 and 1993 - 1998 (two terms) as a candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party. He has been appointed to the Minister of State Water Department, Government of Rajasthan for 1996-1998. In 2020, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Rajasthan. Currently, he is serving as a member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, member of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur (Rajasthan), and member of the Committee on Energy. He is Patron and Chairman of Sant Likhmidas Vikas Sansthan, Nagaur, since 1980 and Patron of Mahatma Jyotiraophule Rashtriya Jagritimanch, since 2010.
