He was born on 2 October 1951 (age 70 years according to 2021) in Pilkhuwa, Distt. Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Shri Om Prakash and his mother’s name is Smt. Satyavati Agrawal. His educational qualification is M.Sc. in Physics from M.M. (P.G) College, Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. His religion belongs to Hinduism and nationality, Indian. He married Uma Agrawalon on 01 Jan 1985 and has two children 1 son and 1 daughter. He has been widely traveled to Nepal, South Africa, and Vietnam.
Rajendra Agrawal was interested in the political world at an early age as he joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in school days. He has been served as a Pracharak for 13 years. He came into the limelight when he was elected the President of BJP Meerut Mahanagar in 1997. After that, he served as in Incharge of BJP Intellectual and Training Cell, Secretary of BJP, Western Uttar Pradesh, and President of the BJP Intellectual Cell, Uttar Pradesh in 2007. He was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha for the first time in 2009 and Re-elected to the 16th and 17th Lok Sabha from the Meerut-Hapur constituency. He shined like the sun in 2009 when he become a Member of the Committee of Parliament on Official Language, Standing Committee on Information Technology, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Railways, Member of Committee on Petitions, and Member of Committee on Government Assurances. He was the Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
In the same year, he became a Member of the Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas and a member of the Standing Committee on Human Resource Development in 2019. Currently, he is a Chairperson of Committee on Government Assurances Member of General Purposes Committee, Consultative Committee, and Ministry of Home Affairs Member of Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth, and Sport. He has also served society in various capacities as an office-bearer of R.S.S., Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Vidhya Bharti, Sanskar Bharti, Bharat Vikas Parishad, etc from 1984-1997
