R. K. Singh Patel is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Agriculturist, Social Worker, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Banda (Uttar Pradesh) Constituency. He was born on 3 July 1959 (age 62 years according to 2021) in Balapur, Khalsa, Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh), India. His father’s name is Shri Bhagwan Deen Singh and his mother’s name is Smt. Ram Sakhi Devi. His educational qualification is a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Shanti Devi Patel on 11 Jan 1978 and has four children three sons and one daughter.
R. K. Singh Patel started his political career as a candidate of the Samajwadi Party (SP). He was first elected to the Member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly for three terms (1996-2007 & Mar. 2017-May 2019). After that, he was appointed to the State Minister of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh for 1996-1997 and Cabinet Minister of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh for 2002-03. Later he joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In 2009, he was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from Banda, Uttar Pradesh constituency and re-elected to 17th Lok Sabha (2nd term) from Banda (Uttar Pradesh) with which he was made a member of Standing Committee on Home Affairs and Member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
