Ronnie Screwvala(birth name Rohinton Soli Screwvala) is an Indian Philanthropist and Entrepreneur. He was born on 8th September 1962 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. He married the second time to Zarina Mehta (was the CEO of UTV Movies). He has daughter Trishya Screwvala from his first wife.
He went to Cathedral and John Connon School to complete his primary and secondary education and later did his graduation from Sydenham College. Ronnie always had a keen interest in Theater and acted in many plays in his school and college days.
He is the founder of UTV movies and is also credited with pioneering Cable TV in India in 1981. He also is an owner of multiple hotel chains in India.
He started his production career in the year 1998 with the movie Such a Long Journey. He has produced many brilliant movies like- Chup Chup Ke, Kai Po Che, Heroine, Rowdy Rathore, Kedarnath, URI: The Surgical Strike, The Sky Is Pink and Ghost Stories.
