Pothuganti Ramulu is a famous Indian politician of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Agriculturist, Social Worker, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Nagarkurnool (Telangana) Constituency. He was born on 17 August 1952 (age 69 years according to 2021) in Guntur, Nagarkurnool, Telangana, India. His father’s name is Shri P. Nagaiah and his mother’s name is Smt. P. Yellamma. His educational qualification is Bachelor of Arts from Osmania University, Hyderabad. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. P. Bhagyalaxmi on 12 May 1977 and has three children two sons and one daughter.
Pothuganti Ramulu Yavasainyam was first worked as a Government Teacher for 16 years. After that, he took his feet into the political world as he started his political career as a candidate of TDP (Telugu Desam Party) in 1994. He was first elected to the Member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for three terms (1994-2004, 2009-2014). In between, he was appointed to the Minister of Sports, Youth Services, Government of Andhra Pradesh for 2001 – 2004. He is one of those candidates who are elected first time in parliament as he was elected to 17th Lok Sabha in 2019 from Nagarkurnool (Telangana) constituency with which he was made a member of the Standing Committee on Home Affairs and Member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
