Pashupati Kumar Paras is a famous Indian politician of the Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJSP), social worker, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Hajipur (SC) (Bihar) Constituency. He was born on 12 Jul 1952 (age 69 years according to 2021) in Shaharbanni, Khagaria, Bihar, India. His father’s name is Late Shri Jamun Das and his mother’s name is Late Smt. Siya Devi. His educational qualification is B.A. Pol. Sci. (Hons), B.Ed from Koshi College, Khagaria, Bihar, and Teacher Training Maha Vidhayalaya, Bhagalpur, Bihar. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Sobha Devi on 02 Sep 1971 and has two children one son and one daughter. He has been traveled to Nepal, the United Kingdom, and the United State of America.
Pashupati Kumar Paras started his political career as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from Alauli for consecutively seven terms 1977-2010 as a candidate of Lok Janshakti Party. He has been the Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources in the Government of Bihar and served thrice as a minister in the state. He was a member of the Bihar Legislative Council for the period of 2017-19. In 2019, he was consented and won the position in 17th Lok Sabha from Hajipur constituency. In 17th Lok sabha, he was made a member of the Standing Committee on Defence, Committee on Government Assurances, Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment, and Consultative Committee, Ministry of Railways. Currently, he is serving as a Union Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, and National President of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party.
