Parmeet Sethi is an Indian film actor and director who was born on 14 October 1961 in New Delhi, India. For his academics, he had attended Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. Parmeet is the cousin of television actress Niki Aneja Walia. Parmeet came into limelight after his directional debut of Aditya Chopra's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995. In this film, he played the role of Kuljeet. After that, he played the role of Captain Ranveer in the fil Diljale in 1996.
He made his debut in Punjabi film with Des Hoyaa Pardes. He came to fame in his TV career when he decided to play the main lead in the serial Dastaan in the 90s. The audience highly appreciated Parmeet's role at that time. In the year 2004, he starred in Israeli film named Turn Left at the End of the World ad a father.
In 2010, Parmeet tried his first directional venture Badmaash Company which starred by Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Meiyang Chang. The film was a success at a box office and earning 350 million Indian rupees where its budget was only 130 million Indian rupees. He also directed the Indian television comedy-drama Sumit Sambhal Lega with Devgan Bhojani and Shashant Shah. On 30 June 1992, Parmeet Sethi got married to a film and television actress Archana Puran Singh. The couple has two sons Aaryamaan and Ayushmaan.
