His father’s name is Late Shri Bhagwati Prasad Chaudhary and his mother’s name is Ujjwal Chaudhary. His educational qualification is Bachelor of Arts from Gorakhpur University. His religion belongs to Hinduism and nationality, Indian. He married Bhagya Shree Chaudhary in 1990 and was blessed with 2 children.

Pankaj Chaudhary started his political career with the Municipal Corporation of Gorakhpur. For the first time in 1989-91, he was elected as a councilor in the Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation. After this, he remained the Deputy Mayor in Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation from 1990-91. In 1991, he joined Bharatiya Janata Party and contested the 10th Lok Sabha elections in which he became an MP for the first time.
