Prem Prakash Chaudhary started his career when he joined Bharatiya Janata Party. He was first elected to 16th Lok Sabha from Pali Lok Sabha constituency in 2014 and became a member of the Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice, member of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation of Lok Sabha. In the same year, he was appointed as a Chairperson of Joint Parliamentary Committee on Offices of Profit, Lok Sabha, and became a member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Finance & Corporate Affairs, Government of India. He has been Chairperson of Fellowship Committee, Lok Sabha in 2016, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Justice, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in 2016-17, and Union Minister of State of Ministry of Law and Justice and Ministry of Corporate Affairs in 2017-19. He was re-elected to 17th Lok Sabha (2nd term) from the same constituency and became a member of Business Advisory Committee, Lok Sabha, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur, Committee on Estimates, Lok Sabha, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. He is also working as Chairperson of the Standing Committee on External Affairs since 2019.
