His full name is Parvatgouda Chandanagouda Gaddigoudar. He was born on 1 June 1951 (age 70 years according to 2021) in Hebballi, Distt. Bagalkot, Karnataka, India. His father’s name is Late Shri Chandanagouda and his mother’s name is Late Smt. Balamma. His educational qualification is Bachelor of Arts from Basaveshvar Vidya Vardhak College and LL.B. (Special) from Bagalkot and Raja Lakhamagouda Law College, Belgaum, Karnataka. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Savitri on 06 Feb 1976 and has four children three sons and one daughter. He loves to Reading, watch documentaries depicting Indian history, public interaction, organic farming.
Parvatgouda Chandanagouda Gaddigoudar started his political career as chairman of the committee to study the reorganization of districts in 1987. After that, he was made a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council from Bijapur Local Authorities Constituency for 1988 – 1994. In 2004, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and was elected to the 14th Lok Sabha from Bagalkot Lok Sabha Constituency. He was re-elected to 15th Lok Sabha (2nd term), 16th Lok Sabha (3rd term), and 17th Lok Sabha (4th term). In 17th Lok Sabha, he was made a member of Committee on Estimates, member of General Purposes Committee, Lok Sabha, member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Textiles, and Chairperson of Standing Committee on Agriculture. He is also included in national development, service of a poor and differently-abled person through various mediums moots for sustainable development. He has a keen interest in promoting handloom, handicraft, boosting tourism, organic farming, and creating awareness about preserving ecological balance to protect mother earth.
