He is married to Narne Lakshmi Pranathi on 5^th May 2011, the couple has a son named Abhay Ram born on 22^nd July 2014. He started his career as a child artist in 1996 with movie Ramayanam, his movie won the National Award for Children's film. In 2000 he debuts as an adult with movie Ninnu Choodalani. From the beginning of his career till date, he has worked in different films. He also won the Prestigious one state Nandi Award, two best actor Filmfare award, and also 4 CineMAA Award. In 2003, he got Award for movie Simhadri he won Santosham Film Awards for Best Young Performers Award, CineMAA award for Best Actor, then got nominated Filmfare Awards south for Best Actor telugu, and many more till now, in 2016, for movie Nannaku Prematho, he won Mirchi Music Award for Star As A Singing Sensation Telugu and for Kannada as well for Chakravyuha, then for movie Janatha Garage he won King of Box for Zee Cinemalu Awards, also 2^nd IIFA Utsavam for Best Actor, Sankarabharanam Awards for Best Actor Telugu, also won Filmfare Award for Best Actor for movie Nannaku Prematho, and got nominated for Best Playback Singer Telugu in Filmfare Awards South for movie Nannaku Prematho, then SIIMA Awards for Best Actor for movie Janatha Garage, got nominated for SIIMA Awards for Best Playback Singer for Chakravyuha, also won Nandi Award for Best Actor for movie Nannaku Prematho and Janatha Garage.
