Nithya Menen born in Bangalore, Karnataka in a Malayali family. She pursued to study Journalism at the Manipal University. She first wanted to be an Journalist, then she wanted to be a Film Maker who can express her ideas through Films, and took admission at FTII Pune to study Cinematography. She met B. V. Nandini Reddy and Nandini convinced her to become an Actor, as she saw that she has the potential to be an Actor, and Nandini after becoming Director wanted to sign Nithya for her first Movie.
