Naresh Bansal is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, an Ex-Bank Employee, Social Worker, and a Member of the Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the upper house of the Indian Parliament from the state of Uttarakhand. He was born on 3 February 1955 (age 66 years according to 2021) in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. His father’s name is Late Shri Hukum Chand Bansal and his mother’s name is Shrimati Pano Devi. His educational qualification is M.Com. educated at D.A.V. (P.G.) College, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He is married to Shrimati Kshama Bansal on 25 June 1982 and has three children two sons and one daughter.
Naresh Bansal was first joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist organization. In 1997, he was appointed the district coordinator of the student organization Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and later joined Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a former General Secretary (Organisation) of Bharatiya Janata Party, Uttarakhand from 2002 – 2009, 2012 - 2019, and National Executive member of BJP India from 2002 - 2009. After that, he was appointed to the Chairman of the Housing and Development Board, Government of Uttarakhand for 2009-2012. He has also previously served as its interim president. In 2020, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Uttrakhand. Currently, he is serving as a member of the Committee on Labour, Textiles, and Skill Development and a member of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Vijaypur (J&K).
