Narendra Singh Tomar is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Agriculturist, social worker, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Morena (Madhya Pradesh) Constituency. He was born on 12 Jun 1957 (age 64 years according to 2021) in Orethi village in Morena district of (Madhya Pradesh), India in a Rajput family. His father’s name is Shri Munshi Singh Tomar and his mother’s name is Smt. Sharda Devi Tomar. His educational qualification is Graduate from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Kiran Tomar on 09 May 1979 and has three children two sons and one daughter. He has a special interest in helping the poor, blood donation camps, and plantations.
Narendra Singh Tomar started his political career as a President of Bharatiya Janata Party Youth Forum (BJPYF), Gwalior in 1980 and was later appointed to the Pradesh Mantri, State Vice-President, State President of BJPYF, Madhya Pradesh. In 1998, he was elected to the member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Gwalior constituency for two Terms (1998 - 2008). In between, he has been appointed to the Cabinet Minister of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh and President of BJP, Madhya Pradesh. After that he was elected to Rajya Sabha for a very short term in 2009 and in the same year he was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from Morena constituency, re-elected to the 16th Lok Sabha (2nd term) from Gwalior constituency, and re-elected to the 17th Lok Sabha (3rd term) from Morena constituency. He has been Union Cabinet Minister for (i) Mines, Steel and Labour & Employment, (ii) Rural Development and Drinking Water and Sanitation, (iii) Housing and Urban Affairs, (iv) Rural Development; Panchayati Raj; and Mines, (v) Rural Development; Panchayati Raj; Mines; and Parliamentary Affairs, (vi) Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and (vii) Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
