Nandana Sen is a well known Indian Film Actress, Children’s Author, Child Rights activist, and Screenwriter. She was born on 19th August 1967 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She is married to John Makinson (Chairman of Penguin Random House) in June 2013 and after some years adopted a young Bengali girl. Her Father is Nabaneeta Dev Sen and her mother is Amartya Sen.
Nandana has always been brilliant in her studies, she went to Harvard University to study Literature, and there she was awarded the Detur Prize for topping her class.
She has worked in many movies across the globe; you can see her in some Hindi, Italian, English, and Bengali movies. She made her debut in the film industry with the movie The Doll/Gudia in 1997. She is known for her role in the movie Black starring Legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherji, where she played the role of sister of Rani Mukherji’s character. Last she was seen in the movie Rang Rasiya playing the role of Sugandha.
