His educational qualification is Intermediate. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Nama Chinnamma on 04 Dec 1987 and has three children two sons and one daughter. He loves to Reading, travel, interact with the masses and people in Khammam Constituency.
Nama Nageswara Rao started his political career when he was elected to 15th Lok Sabha in 2009 and re-elected to 17th Lok Sabha (2nd term) in 2019 from Khammam (Telangana) Constituency. He has been the Leader of Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party, Lok Sabha for 2009-14. He is the Former Founder / Chairman of Nama Muthaiah Memorial Trust, Khammam, Member of the Trust Board of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, Hyderabad. He is part of social and cultural activities as he is a member of Trust Board, Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Hyderabad, Providing medical aids to the tribes and poor, Assistance to Disabled (Divyang) Persons, Organizing Blood Donation Camps & sports activities, Providing and facilitating employment for unemployed youth, Launched basic life support Ambulance in Constituency and many more. Currently, he is serving as a member of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation, a member of the Consultative Committee, the Ministry of Jal Shakti, member of the General Purposes Committee, Lok Sabha, and a member of (Special Invitee) Business Advisory Committee since 2019.
