Munna Khan, better known as Muzibulla Khan, is a famous Indian politician of Indian Biju Janata Dal, Actor, Social Worker, and Member of Parliament (Rajya sabha) from the state of Odisha. He was born on 13 January 1963 (age 58 years according to 2021) in Jagdalpur (Chattisgarh), India. His father’s name is Shri Kalimulla Khan and his mother’s name is Shrimati Ambiya Begum. His religion belongs to Islam and Nationality, Indian. He married Shrimati Sahida Khatun on 25 November 1991 and has one daughter.
Munna Khan started his career as an Odia film actor as he acted in a number of Odia films. He is best known for his memorable roles in films including ‘Mamata Ra Dori’ (1989), ‘Mu Kana Ete Kharap’ (2010), Ganga Shiuli Ki Heba Sua Posile, Kiye Kahara, Kanah, Kasturi, Bapa Akashe Ki Ranga Lagila, Chati Chiri Dele Tu and many more films and TV serials. He has also been worked in Hindi Serials including, (i) Yug Nayak, (ii) Palasha, and (iii) Dhara. At the age of 23, he entered politics as a candidate of Janata Dal and later joined Biju Janata Dal. He was first elected as a Sarpanch of Taragaon, Odisha in 1992. After that, he was appointed to the Chairman of Agriculture Promotion Investment Corporation Ltd. (APICOL) in 2003, Chairman of Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC) in 2010, Chairman of Odisha State Cashew Development Corporation Ltd. in 2018, and Advisor (Minority Affairs) of SC & ST Development, Minorities, and Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Odisha (Minister of State Rank) in 2019.
In 2020, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Odisha. Currently, he is serving as a member of the Committee on Energy, a member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Minority Affairs, member of the Zonal Rail Users’ Consultative Committee (East Coast Railway). He is also a State President of Biju Janata Dal (Minority Cell).
