Mukesh Khanna is one of the most versatile Indian actors of Hindi Cinema. He was born on the 23rd of December 1952 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was born in a Hindu Khatri Family he also had a sibling brother Ved Khanna who was also an actor. He attended the Film and Television Institute of India to pursue a career in acting and completes his graduation from it.
Mukesh Khanna first introduced himself to the Film Industry with a Hindi language Indian feature film Roohi. Later he got more chances to make his appearance in more films such as Waqt Ke Shahzade, Dard-E-Dil, Captain Barry, Mujhe Kasam Hai. After that, he introduced himself to the television industry, in 1986 he made his television debut with an Indian television series Bahadur Shah Zafar. Later on, in 1988, he made his appearance in an Indian television series based on the ancient Sanskrit epic Mahabharata. In Mahabharata, he portrayed the very important role of Bhishma Pitamah. From 1988 to 1990 Mahabharata primed on DD National network. Mahabharat was a super-duper in his television series in Hindi Cinema.
Throughout which every member of the cast of Mahabharata gained wider recognization for their performance. Mukesh Khanna also did a great job in the Bhishma pitamah role by which he also gains critical acclaim and rose to fame. After Mahabharata in 1997, he again gained wider recognition for playing the Indian superhero role of Shaktiman in an Indian Hindi language superhero television show Shaktiman.
