Mariyam Zakaria is a Swedish-Iranian actress born on 27th September 1984 in Tehran. She belongs to Swedish nationality. She is working in Bollywood and South Indian Cinema. She did her schooling and graduation from her local town. She came into this field at a very small age.
Mariyam worked as a model in Sweden. She is a dance teacher choreographer also. She established a Bollywood dance academy named the Indisk Dans Studio. It was the first dance school in Swedens that taught the ‘Jhataks and Mataks’ of Bollywood cinema. Then she came to Mumbai in 2009 for work in Bollywood industry. She appeared in several advertisements including Lays, Set Wet and coke. In the Coca-Cola advertisement, she appeared with Imran Khan.
In the year 2010, she made her debut film “Nagaram” in Tamil. After watching her dance videos on YouTube, the audience liked her very much. Then she signed a Tamil film ‘Madatha Kaja’ alongside Allario Rajesh. She acted in another Telugu Film ‘Arjuna’. Later, she appeared in ‘Dilli Ki Billi’ for an item number.
In the film of Saif Ali Khan ‘Agent Vinod’, she performed a Mujra with Kareena Kapoor on the song ‘Dil Mera Muft Ka’. It gave her the best fame in Bollywood. In the year 2012, she appeared in the film ‘Grand Masti’ pair of Aftab Shivdasani. It released on 13th September 2013. The film became a blockbuster at the box office.
Mariyam Zakaria got married to a choreographer Arvind Thakur in 2012. Now she lives a happy life with her husband in Mumbai and too close to him.
