Maneka Gandhi is an Indian political personality, belong to Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). Full name is known as Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, her birth name is Maneka Anand. She born on 26 August, 1956 at Delhi. Her father’s name is Late Lt. Col. T.S. Anand whereas Late Smt. Amteshwar Anand is her mother’s name. Former politician Late Mr. Sanjay Gandhi was his husband. Varun Gandhi is his son, who is a politician from Bhartiya Janta Party. She is a part of famous Nehru – Gandhi family of India.
She completed her schooling from Lawrence School, Sanawar and graduation from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi. She had also studied German language from Jawahar Lal Nehru University, Delhi. She won several awards for her contribution in animal care.
She is serving as Member of Parliament from Aonla Constituency. Apart from a political profile, she is also know as former model, animal rights activist and environmentalist. She is also the founder of NGO, People for Animals (PFA).
She worked as a journalist too for Surya Magazine. Her work in that magazine created so many political controversies.
