In 2019, he was contested and elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh) Constituency with which he was made a member of the Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law, and Justice, and member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
