He was born on 8th July 1972 (age 49 years according to 2021) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father’s name is Shri M. Krishnasswamy and his mother’s name is Smt. K.V. Chitra. His educational qualification is M.B.B.S. from Madras Medical College, Chennai. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, India. He married Smt. V. Sangeetha on 30 Aug 1995 and has two children one son and one daughter.
Dr. M. K. Vishnu Prasad started his political career as a candidate for the Indian National Congress (INC). He was first appointed to the President of Tamil Nadu Youth Congress (PYC - Pradesh Youth Congress) from 2003 to 2006. After that, he was elected to the Member of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly represented Cheyyar constituency in Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu for 2006-11. He is one of those candidates who are elected first time in parliament as he was elected to 17th Lok Sabha in 2019 from the Arani (Tamil Nadu) constituency with which he was made a member of the Standing Committee on Chemicals & Fertilisers and member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Textiles. He is also part of social and cultural activities as he was established the Cheyyar SIPCOT Industrial park, which now provides employment to over 30000 people, constructed the Ocheri Bridge, and many more.
