Kaushal Kishore is a famous Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Agriculturist, social worker, and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Mohanlalganj (SC) (Uttar Pradesh) Constituency. He was born on 25 January 1960 (age 61 years according to 2021) in Begariya village, Tehsil-Mohanlalganj, District-Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Shri Kallu Prashad and his mother’s name is Smt. Parvati Devi. His educational qualification is Inter/Higher Secondary from Kalicharan Inter College, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He married Smt. Jai Devi on 24 Apr 1984 and has four sons.
Kaushal Kishore started his political career as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party and was first elected to member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Malihabad constituency for 2002 – 2007. For 2003-04, he was appointed as a Minister of State of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. In 2014, he was elected to 16th Lok Sabha from Mohanlalganj, Uttar Pradesh constituency with which he was made a member of Standing Committee on Home Affairs, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Labour, and Employment, and Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice. He was re-elected to 17th Lok Sabha (2nd term) from the same constituency in 2019 and became a member of the Standing Committee on Water Resources, a member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Education. Currently, he is serving as a Union Minister of State, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, national president of Parakh Mahasangh, and is the State President of the party's SC wing, leader of the party, and an activist for issues of social justice.
