In the year 2014 on the occasion of “World Organ Donation Day” health minister Kamineni Srinivas pledged that he will be an organ donor and that he has also mentioned it in his will. According to him, the awareness about organ donation is very low in the country and due to which many people lose their lives. Srinivas works hard to provide quality medicare in the state of Andhra Pradesh. In the past years, he has been working towards the supply of generic medicines at cheap rates in the state hospitals and has taken measures to reduce Infant Mortality and Mother Mortality rate which is very high in the state.
In July 2016 he inaugurated Health Commissionerate and HOD offices of DPHFW and APVVP at Gollapudi. In July 2016 Kamineni Srinivas opened a Dialysis centre at Tenali Government Hospital in Guntur. He even said that this facility of Dialysis will soon be made available at the all the government hospitals in Andhra Pradesh.
Recently, he announced about an online grievance portal that has been developed for Government Medical College students of Andhra Pradesh. The students will be able to use this facility to submit their grievances online. This facility for the assistance of students will start very soon. Kamineni also laid a foundation stone for nursing college and nursing hostel in the premises of infectious diseases hospital of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
