Tulsi is a famous Indian politician of the Indian National Congress, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, Social Worker and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the upper house of the Indian Parliament from the state of Chhattisgarh. He was born on 7 November 1947 (age 74 years according to 2021) in Hoshiarpur, East Punjab, India. His father’s name is Late Shri Gurcharan Singh Tulsi and his mother’s name is Late Shrimati Baljit Kaur Tulsi. His educational qualification is B.A. (Hons.) Political Science, LL.B. from Government College, Chandigarh and Panjab University, Chandigarh. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He is married to Shrimati Suman Tulsi on 11 February 1973 and has two daughters.
Shri K. T. S. Tulsi was first worked as a part-time lecturer and wrote two books Tulsi's Digest of Accident Claims Cases and Landlord & Tenant Cases, the report of Punjab series of Indian Law reports in 1976. After that, he worked as a senior advocate in the Supreme Court of India, represented the Indian government for many years. He was appointed to the Additional Solicitor General of India for 1990-96, Vice-Chairman of Law Commission of India for 2010-12. In 2014, he was nominated to Rajya Sabha and re-elected to Rajya Sabha (second term) in 2020. Since 1994, he is the President of the Criminal Justice Society of India. Currently, he is serving as a member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and a member of the Committee on Government Assurances.
