He was born on 10 June 1957 (age 64 years according to 2021) in Sasthamcotta, Distt. Kollam (Kerala), India. His father’s name is Shri K.C. Karumban and his mother’s name is Shrimati Velumbi. His educational qualification is B.Sc., M.Sc., LL.B. from Devaswom Board College, Sasthamcotta; Sree Narayana College, Kollam, and Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He is married to Shrimati M. R. Sujatha on 6 August 1989 and has three children one son and two daughters.
