Suresh Reddy is a famous Indian politician of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Agriculture, Business, Social Worker and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the upper house of the Indian Parliament from the state of Telangana. He was born on 25 May 1959 (age 62 years according to 2021) in Village Choutpally, Distt. Nizamabad (Andhra Pradesh), India. His father’s name is Late Shri K. R. Govind Reddy and his mother’s name is Shrimati K. R. Vimala Devi. His educational qualification is B.A. from Nizam College, Osmania University, Hyderabad. His religion belongs to Hinduism and Nationality, Indian. He is married to Shrimati K. R. Padmaja Reddy on 13 June 1985 and has two children one son and one daughter.
K. R. Suresh Reddy started his political career as a candidate for the Indian National Congress (INC). He was first elected to the Member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Balkonda constituency for 1989-1994, 1994-1999, 1999-2004, and 2004-2009 (four terms). He has been chairman of Library Committee, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for 1990-1993, Chairman of Public Accounts Committee, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1997and Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for 2004-09. In 2020, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Telangana. Currently, he is serving as a member of Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice, member of Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Communications, member of Committee on Information and Communication Technology Management in Rajya Sabha, member of Committee on Rules and member of Library Committee.
