Jothimani Sennimalai is an Indian political personality. She was born on June 9, 1975 (age 46 years), in Aravakurichi, India. She is a member of the Lok Sabha since 2019. She did her study at Annamalai University (2005), Annamalai University (2003). Her father’s name is SENNIMALAI and her mother’s name is Muthulakshmi. She got a Master of Arts from Annamalai University, 2003. She did her M.Phil from Annamalai University. She was a Member of the Tamil Nadu Censor Board from 2006 to 2009.
She is a prominent leader in Tamil Nadu Congress, she served as the General Secretary and Vice President of the Indian Youth Congress and Tamil Nadu Youth Congress respectively. She contested in the 2011 Tamil Nadu state assembly election and 2014 Indian general election from Karur and lost in both elections. In the 2019 Indian general election, she won from Karur. She was an active worker in the Indian Youth Congress and a close aide of Rahul Gandhi. She has joined the Congress party in 1997. She was a Member of the Tamil Nadu Censor Board from 2006 to 2009. She was elected general secretary of the Indian Youth Congress in 2009. She contested her first election for TN legislative assembly from Karur constituency but lost to AIADM candidate V. Senthil Balaji in 2011. She unsuccessfully contested her first parliamentary election from Karur constituency in 2014. She Won parliamentary election from Karur constituency by defeating veteran AIADMK leader M. Thambidurai in 2019.
